ESTP

Jon Bernthal wasn’t too difficult to type, perhaps it was his lead role in the Netflix Series “The Punisher” that really amplified his function stack as the ESTP. By the way, Jon Bernthal is almost too perfect for the role as Frank Castle, if you haven’t already watched the series, wow it’s a definite must.

One of his most notable roles is as Shane Walsh in the first two seasons of the popular AMC series “The Walking Dead,” where he portrayed a complex character caught in a post-apocalyptic zombie world.

He has appeared in movies like “The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Fury,” “Sicario,” “Wind River,” and “Baby Driver.” His performances are often characterized by their intensity, and he is known for his ability to portray both sympathetic and morally complex characters.

In assessing Jon’s cognitive functions, I first concluded Bernthal to be an ENTJ mainly due to Se (Extraverted Sensing).

In watching Jon play various roles, I do not see Se functioning as a child (as with ENTJ) but more as a primary function as with ESTP.

Jon manages Extraverted Sensing extremely well especially for roles requiring a lot of physicality, especially for his role in “The Punisher“.

It is rumored Bernthal will be returning as Frank Castle, so I’m looking forward to that.

“Let’s just say I’m a physical guy.”
